A Jukebox For the Algonquin. Paul Stroili. Purple Rose Theatre Company. July 2023

A Jukebox for the Algonquin is a beautiful and poignant new play by Paul Stroili. Set in a Retirement home, it tells the humorous and engaging story of how four of the residents manage to raise the money to buy a Wurlitzer jukebox for the Algonquin rec room.

Because this play was modern dress, instead of doing drawings of what people would be wearing, I gathered images representative of the "look" we were going for and assembled them on a page dedicated to each character. Below you will see the pages followed by photos of the production showing the finished costume design for each of our actors.

These looks had to be doubled for our understudies who needed a set of clothing for each of the characters they would play if they would be called upon.
